Candy Cane Cafe White Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    5 lb. flour
    1/2 to 1 c. sugar
    5 tsp. salt
    2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Put yeast in 2 cups warm water and set aside.
    Put 5 pounds flour in a large container.
    Mix in sugar and salt.
    Add shortening and mix well until it feels like corn meal, no chunks of shortening.
    Throw a pinch of sugar and flour into yeast mixture.
    Add 4 cups water to flour mixture; add the yeast water too.
    Mix well, cover and let rise overnight.
