Christmas Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks oleo or butter
    3 c. flour
    6 eggs
    1 box confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. candied cherries, cut up
Preparation
    Beat shortening until creamy; add sugar and beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add flour and vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Fold in nuts and cherries.
    Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350\u00b0 in ungreased tube pan.
