Russian Teacakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 c. powdered sugar (plus a little extra)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2-1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix together butter, 1/2 cup powered sugar and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt and nuts. Best to chill this dough for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Once chilled, shape into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 - 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Roll in powdered sugar while still warm and then again once they are cool.
