Sour Cream Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. white Karo
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. candied cherries
Preparation
    Combine sugar, sour cream, Karo, butter and salt in heavy saucepan.
    Bring to boil slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves. Boil without stirring on medium heat to soft boil stage.
    Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes.
    Do not stir.
    Add vanilla, beat until mixture starts to lose its gloss, about 8 minutes.
    Stir in cherries and nuts.
    Pour into greased pan.
    Cool and cut in squares.
