*Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. light Karo syrup
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 c. coffee cream or use 1/2 cream and 1/2 milk, if preferred
Preparation

Mix together all ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Continue to cook until 250\u00b0 on candy thermometer is ready, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Pour into buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.
When cool, cut into individual squares and wrap individually in wax paper.
Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
This recipe can be doubled.
Use a 9 x 13-inch pan.
