Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    15 medium cucumbers
    6 medium onions
    1/2 c. salt (pickling salt)
    3 c. white vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers and onions.
    Put salt over top; drain and rinse.
    Heat vinegar, sugar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed until sugar dissolves.
    Add pickles and onions.
    Heat.
    Put in canning jars.
    Process in a water bath for 5 minutes.
