Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
    1 large cherry gelatin
    2 c. hot water
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    dash of salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. ground fresh cranberries
    1 can mandarin oranges
    3/4 c. chopped celery
    1/3 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Drain oranges and pineapple and save syrup.
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add cold water to syrup to make 1 1/2 cups.
    Add lemon juice and salt.
    Add cold water and syrup to gelatin.
    Chill until partly set.
    Meanwhile, combine sugar and cranberries in bowl.
    When jello is nearly set, add ground fruit, celery and nuts.
    Place in mold, if desired.
