Red Cabbage Simplified - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. red cabbage, shredded
    3 Tbsp. butter or bacon drippings
    2 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    6 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. vinegar or white wine
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Prepare the cabbage.
    Melt the butter and saute the onion. Add brown sugar, vinegar and caraway seed.
    Add the cabbage and cook it for 25 minutes. Stir it frequently.
    Canned red cabbage may be substituted.
    Cook about 5 minutes.
