Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. unpeeled, diced apples
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
    4 c. miniature marshmallows
    2 tsp. vinegar
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 c. Spanish peanuts
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, beaten egg, flour and pineapple juice.
    Cook on medium heat until thickened, approximately 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; let cool.
    Combine apples, pineapple and Cool Whip.
    Add peanuts and marshmallows.
    Stir in cooked custard mixture after it is completely cooled; mix well.
    Chill well before serving.
