Broccoli Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. broccoli
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 tsp. salt
    pinch of pepper
    1/3 c. lemon juice
    2/3 c. olive or salad oil
Preparation
    Cut broccoli into 3-inch lengths.
    Split 1/2 inch up from the stem ends.
    Cook in a covered saucepan in an inch of boiling water until tender, 8 to 10 minutes after the water starts to boil.
    Do not overcook.
    Remove gently from the water; drain and chill.
