Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    green tomatoes, washed and sliced, cut 1/16 to 1/8-inch thick
    salt
    flour
    shortening or oil
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes.
    Salt both sides.
    Pat into flour, coating well.
    Fry in shortening or oil on medium heat until just golden brown on each side.
    Lift out with fork and drain on paper towels.
