Bird'S Nest Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

4 to 5 medium apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour milk *

Preparation

*Place 1 tablespoon of white vinegar in measuring cup.
Add enough milk to equal 1 cup.
Let stand for 5 minutes.
