Ham And Cheese Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. diced potatoes
1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 c. sliced celery
1/4 c. diced onions
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
1/4 c. margarine, melted
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
2 c. cooked, diced ham
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Cook potatoes, carrots, celery, onions and 1 teaspoon salt in 2 cups water for 15 minutes. Do not discard water.
Make white sauce combining melted margarine, flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper and milk.
Cook on low heat until it thickens.
Add to cooked vegetables.
Add the diced ham and grated cheese. Do not cook. Keep heat low to prevent scorching.
