Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. candied cherries
    1 lb. pineapple, cut up
    4 c. pecans, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add well beaten eggs.
    Cream well together.
    Sift baking powder and flour twice; add to creamed mixture, then add cherries and remaining ingredients.
    Press into well-greased tube pan and put in cold oven and bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
