Pear Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck pears
    6 large onions
    3 red bell peppers
    3 green bell peppers
    2 lb. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. whole allspice
    5 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Put pears, onions and peppers through meat chopper.
    Drain part of pear juice off or it will be soupy.
    Add other ingredients and cook 30 minutes after it begins to boil.
    Put hot relish into hot jars and seal.
