Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 sweet potatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. dark brown sugar
    1/2 c. water
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Cook sweet potatoes in their jackets in boiling salted water until nearly tender.
    Drain, peel and cut in slices about 1/2-inch thick.
    Place in a greased shallow baking dish and sprinkle with salt.
    Cook together brown sugar, water and butter in a separate pan for several minutes.
    Then stir in lemon juice and pour over potatoes.
    Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes, basting occasionally with the syrup.
    Serves 4 to 6.
