Christmas Special Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. coarsely chopped nuts
1 lb. coarsely chopped dates
1 c. maraschino cherries, halved
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Mix the first 3 ingredients together and set aside.
Mix dry ingredients; pour over fruit and nut mixture and stir until well coated.
Beat 3 eggs until foamy and pour into mixture.
Stir well.
Spoon in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan that is greased and lined with wax paper.
Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 300\u00b0.
Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
