Grandma'S Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. white sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat eggs, sugar, shortening and molasses together until smooth. Add flour, cinnamon, ginger, soda and salt.
    Mix all ingredients together until well blended.
    Form mixture into balls the size of walnuts.
    Roll in sugar and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    You can mash the balls or leave them round.
    They will crack on top if left round.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
