Ingredients

1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
4 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Blend butter, eggs, brown sugar and molasses together.
Sift together flour, soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon and ginger.
Add to mixture.
Chill at least 1 hour.
