Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add egg and milk. Beat until light and fluffy.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Fold in creamed mixture.
    Divide into 1/2 and chill for at least 1 hour.
    Roll out and use cookie cutters or just use spoonfuls.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Enjoy plain or with Buttercream Icing.
    Yields 3 dozen.
