Drop Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dark molasses
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. boiling water
    6 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs.
    Stir in molasses. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with water.
    Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.
    Test one cookie, if it cracks open, the dough is too stiff.
    If the cookie flattens, the dough needs more flour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 8 to 10 minutes.
