Crisp Potato Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 lb. white potatoes, grated
1 egg
1 onion, grated
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/3 c. bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. bacon fat
Preparation

Melt bacon fat in a 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Mix other ingredients; spread evenly in bottom of pan.
Dot with bacon fat or chopped fried bacon on top.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 400\u00b0. Cut into squares and serve.
(Very good with pork chops.)
