Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. dates, chopped
1 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. applesauce

Preparation

In a large mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, shortening and applesauce; stir well.
Sift dry ingredients; add a little at a time to the mixture.
Stir until smooth.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until light brown.
