Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Separate eggs beating yolk until thick.
Add yolks and vanilla.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Alternate flour and milk.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold into mixture.
Bake at 365\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
