Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butterscotch morsels
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar, molasses and egg.
Sift together the dry ingredients.
Add to cream mixture, then add butterscotch morsels.
Chill 2 hours.
Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.
Place in sprayed cookie pan.
Top with pecan and bake at 370\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen.
