Hermit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 lb. creamy butter
1 lb. brown sugar
6 eggs
1 lb. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 lb. English walnut meal
1 lb. dates

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs (one at a time).
Sift flour and cinnamon twice, leaving enough to flour fruit.
Add nuts.
Put in vanilla and bake 3 hours at 300\u00b0.
