The Best Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. oil
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. grated carrots
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Blend sugar and oil.
    Add eggs; beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Combine with liquids. Beat at low speed for 1 minute.
    Add carrots, nuts and raisins and mix to blend.
    Pour into 2 well-greased and floured 9-inch layer pans.
    (I use one 9 x 13-inch pan).
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
    Do not open oven door during baking time.
    Frost with cream cheese icing when cold.
