Banana Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1 3/4 c. rolled oats (uncooked)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Sift into mixing bowl the flour, sugar, soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Cut in shortening.
Add egg, bananas, rolled oats and nuts; beat until thoroughly blended. Drop by teaspoons, about 1 1/2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake about 15 minutes, or until edges are browned.
Remove from pan; cool on rack.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
