Hamburger Skouse - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
    5 large potatoes, diced
    1 large onion, chopped (optional)
    1 c. canned or frozen corn
    1 c. canned or frozen peas
    3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    4 or 5 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown meat in large pan or pot.
    Drain meat.
    Meat can be rinsed with cool water if less fat is desired.
    Put all ingredients in pot and simmer until potatoes are done, stirring occasionally.
