1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Blend cream cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Combine and beat well.
Stir in chocolate chips and set aside. Sift together flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, soda and 1 teaspoon salt. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla.
Fill cups 1/3 full with chocolate batter.
Top each with a heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture.
Sprinkle with sugar and chopped or slivered almonds. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Refrigerate.
