Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 large onion
    1 pod garlic
    1/2 bell pepper
    1/4 c. parsley
    2 lb. shrimp
    1 lb. crab meat
    1 qt. oysters (with oyster water)
    2 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
    2 qt. or more water
    salt
    pepper
    Tabasco
    file
Preparation
    Make a roux by browning flour in well heated oil.
    Lower heat and add water gradually.
    Add chopped onion, garlic, pepper and parsley.
    Cook 30 minutes.
    Add crab meat, bay leaves, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and Tabasco to taste.
    Cook 15 minutes.
    Add shrimp and oysters.
    Cook 5 minutes on high until oysters begin to curl.
    Cut heat and add file to thicken.
    If you cannot find file, add thinly sliced young tender okra at the beginning for thickening.
