June Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh peas, cooked
    1/2 lb. small white onions, boiled
    1/2 c. finely shredded lettuce
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. flour
    salt and pepper to taste
    sugar to taste
Preparation
    Cook the peas lightly (about 15 minutes).
    Add onions, lettuce and 1/3 cup of liquid in which the peas were cooked.
    Cream butter with flour; add to peas.
    Reheat to boiling, stirring gently. Season to taste.
    A pinch of fresh or dried chervil may be added. Serves 4.
