Kanelkakor(Swedish Cinnamon Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1 c. light brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    chopped almonds
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat in egg and almond extract.
    Add flour mixed with baking powder and cinnamon.
    Blend well.
    Shape dough into 4 logs.
    Place on Teflon cookie sheets (17 x 14-inch).
    Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped almonds.
    Bake 15 to 18 minutes.
    Let cool for 15 minutes and cut into diagonal 1-inch pieces (sprinkle with chopped almonds) and return to oven. Turn oven off and leave to dry and cool.
