Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 c. chopped onions
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    12 c. tomatoes
    3 cans tomato paste (12 oz.)
    2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. oregano
    2 to 3 bay leaves
Preparation
    Heat
    oil
    in large skillet and cook onions, garlic and pepper until
    tender.
    Add
    remaining
    ingredients
    in
    order listed, stirring well after each addition.\tSimmer, uncovered, 45 to 60 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.\tMeatballs can be added at this time and cooked for 30 minutes.\tSauce freezes well.
