Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 7/8 c. flour
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; set aside.
    Cream together butter and sugars; add beaten eggs.
    Add flour mixture, mixing well.
    Roll into small balls and flatten somewhat with a fork.
    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
