Banana Split Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 (8 oz. serving size) pkg. or 2 pkg. (4 oz. serving) Jell-O brand gelatin (any red flavor)
    2 c. cold water
    1 pt. (2 c.) vanilla ice cream, softened
    thawed Cool Whip whipped topping
    sliced bananas
    sliced strawberries
    pineapple chunks
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl 2 minutes or until completely dissolved.
    Stir in cold water.
    Stir in ice cream until smooth.
    Pour into serving bowl.
    Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
    Garnish with Cool Whip, fruit and nuts.
    Makes 8 servings.
