Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 peppers
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    4 oz. rice
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
    1 medium size Spanish onion
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut the tops off peppers.
    Dice the onion.
    Mix ground beef, onion, rice, crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper in bowl until thoroughly combined.
    Stuff into peppers.
    Place peppers in a large pot; fill pot with tomato puree and water, just enough to cover peppers.
    Stir occasionally.
    Cook for 1 hour or until you can pierce a pepper with a fork.
    The peppers will be tender when done.
