Light Diet Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
    2-1/2 tsp. salt, divided
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. steak sauce, divided
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 green peppers, sliced
    1 can (6 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
    4 medium tomatoes, cut in wedges
Preparation
    Combine beef, 1-1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper and
    2 tablespoons steak sauce. Form into several patties. In large skillet, sear patties on both sides. Remove from pan; lower heat and add onions, peppers, mushrooms, 2 tablespoons steak sauce and 1 teaspoon salt. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Replace patties. Simmer until meat is cooked. Add tomatoes at the end, just to heat through.
