Feather Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. softened shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    about 6 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt, then rub in the shortening.
    Beat eggs and milk together, then stir in.
    Use a bit more milk if necessary to make a rather soft yet easily handled dough.
    Turn out on a floured board and knead slightly. Roll out to 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut into a triangle with knife or cut with a round cutter.
    Place on an ungreased baking pan. Bake at 425\u00b0 for about 15 minutes or until light and brown. Serve at once with butter.
    Makes about 30.
