Prize Winning Wheat 'N Oatmeal Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 egg
1 c. milk
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. quick cooking oats
3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. Wheat Chex cereal
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease bottoms of 12 medium muffin cups or line with paper baking cups.
Crush cereal to 3/4 cup.
Beat egg.
Stir in milk, sugar and shortening.
Add remaining ingredients just until moistened.
Batter should be lumpy.
Divide batter evenly into muffin cups.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Immediately remove from pan.
Serve warm.
