Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    yellow cake mix
    2 boxes instant vanilla pudding
    2 large cans crushed pineapple, slightly drained
    1 can cherry pie filling
    12 oz. Cool Whip
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    3 sliced bananas
Preparation
    Bake yellow cake mix as directed.
    Cut cake in half.
    Break one half in bowl.
    Add 1 box pudding mix (mixed as for pudding), 1 can crushed pineapple and 1/2 can cherry pie filling.
    Then add a little Cool Whip and one sliced banana.
    Then repeat with more layers of same.
    Slice a banana on top; cover with Cool Whip and top with nuts.
    Let set in refrigerator.
