Caramel Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    3/4 stick margarine
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt sugar with margarine in saucepan.
    Cool.
    Add flour, baking powder, egg and vanilla.
    Stir in nuts.
    Spread in an 8 to 9-inch square pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 10 to 30 minutes.
    Cool a few minutes, then cut into fingers.
