Eggnog - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 beaten eggs
2 c. milk
1/3 c. sugar
2 to 4 Tbsp. light rum (optional)
2 to 4 Tbsp. bourbon (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. whipping cream
2 Tbsp. sugar
ground nutmeg
Preparation

In a large, heavy saucepan, mix the eggs, milk and 1/3 cup of sugar.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture coats a metal spoon.
Remove from heat.
Cool quickly by placing pan in a sink or bowl of ice water and stirring 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in rum, bourbon and vanilla.
Chill 4 to 24 hours.
When serving, top with ground nutmeg, a sprinkling of sugar and a dollop of whipping cream.
