Silvara Walker'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. (churned) buttermilk
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    2 to 3 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Mix together the corn meal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add the buttermilk, soda, egg and oil.
    Beat like a cake. Oil and heat iron skillet on stove top. Pour cornbread mix in skillet and bake in oven at 400\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
