Smothered Steak And Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    flour
    oil
    salt and pepper
    1 onion, cut into 1/8's
    1/4 to 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    sliced potatoes (optional)
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans cream of mushroom soup
Preparation
    Cut steak into individual portion sizes.
    Dredge in flour and brown in oil.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    In same skillet or in a roasting pan, lay meat on bottom; top with onion and mushrooms. Add potato slices, if you like.
    Top with soup.
    Cover and cook at 300\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours or simmer on low in covered skillet.
    Serves 4.
