Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pkg. (6 oz.) white baking chocolate, cut into chunks
1 jar (7 oz.) macadamia nuts, chopped coarsely
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl cream butter, shortening and sugars until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla; beat until smooth.
Add dry ingredients.
Mix until a soft dough forms. Stir in white chocolate and macadamia nuts.
Drop teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
Transfer to wire rack to cool.
