Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. bacon grease or shortening
1 Tbsp. cornmeal
1 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix all ingredients, except bacon grease and 1 tablespoon cornmeal, just until blended.
Heat bacon grease and 1 tablespoon cornmeal in cast-iron (10-inch) skillet until very hot.
Pour in batter.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
