Silver White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk
    3 egg whites (4 makes it richer)
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients and 2/3 cup of milk.
    Beat 2 minutes. Add remaining milk, egg whites and vanilla.
    Beat 2 more minutes. Pour into two greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Frost with favorite frosting.
    Recipe makes good cupcakes.
