Farmhouse Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cubed potatoes
1 small onion, diced
1 can chicken broth
1/3 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1 (14 oz.) can evaporated milk
2 c. water
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can green beans
1/4 c. chopped pimento
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. pepper
salt to taste
3/4 c. Cheddar cheese, diced
6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
Preparation

Simmer potatoes and onions in broth until tender, about 10 minutes.
In separate pan, cook butter and flour until bubbly. Add milk and water to butter and flour mixture.
Cook until thick and smooth.
Add this mixture to the potatoes, onions and broth. Add next 6 ingredients.
Simmer 15 minutes.
Remove bay leaf.
Add cheese and eggs just before serving.
Be sure to add all liquids from can of vegetables.
