Cherry Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) jar red maraschino cherries
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. milk
    1 (8 oz.) jar green maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. applesauce
    1/2 c. grated orange peel
    1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Drain red cherries (save liquid, add water if needed to equal 1/3 cup).
    Cut up cherries.
    In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    In separate bowl beat eggs, add milk, oil, applesauce and cherry liquid.
    Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
    Fold in red and green cherries, pecans and orange peel.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until tests done.
